Terms
Terms of Service.
These terms govern your purchase, download and use of MacFold. They do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Agreement
Last updated: September 13, 2026
By purchasing, downloading or using MacFold, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download or use the software. “MacFold,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the provider of the MacFold software and website.
Product and license
MacFold is a downloadable macOS utility that creates a visual folding effect on the built-in display. A completed purchase gives you access to the packaged download and the support described on this website.
Software-license and copyright notices supplied with the download govern the code and components to which they apply. Nothing in these terms restricts rights granted by an applicable open-source license. The MacFold name, logo, website design and original website materials remain protected separately, and no ownership of them is transferred.
Purchase and delivery
MacFold is offered for a one-time price shown before checkout. It is not a subscription. Polar Software, Inc. acts as merchant of record and authorized reseller, processes payment and applicable taxes, and provides the electronic order confirmation and download access. Your checkout is also governed by Polar’s buyer terms.
You are responsible for providing a working email address at checkout and retaining the confirmation and downloaded installer. If delivery is delayed or the download link does not work, contact us at support.grabkit@gmail.com.
Compatibility
MacFold requires macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon and a MacBook model that exposes a readable lid-angle sensor. Sensor support varies, and Apple silicon alone does not guarantee compatibility. Intel Macs and Windows PCs are not supported.
You are responsible for checking these requirements before purchase. Compatibility can change with MacBook hardware and macOS updates because the lid-angle sensor interface varies between models.
Permissions and operation
The effect requires macOS Screen Recording permission so the app can process a live image of the built-in display locally. Some protected content may appear blank. Only the displayed image is transformed; underlying click targets are not warped, so you should let the lid settle before precise interaction.
Normal macOS sleep behavior still applies. You are responsible for using the MacBook carefully and for avoiding physical pressure, obstruction or damage while moving the lid.
Refunds
Because MacFold is a digital download supplied immediately after purchase, sales are final once download access is provided. This does not limit any refund or consumer right required by applicable law or Polar’s buyer terms.
Billing disputes and any refund required by Polar’s buyer terms should be raised with Polar or through the support address above. Technical and download questions can be sent directly to us.
Experimental software and updates
MacFold is experimental software and the current download is not notarized by Apple. Features, appearance and operating-system support may change. We may provide fixes or updated versions, but a purchase does not promise any particular future feature, update schedule or period of support.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacFold is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every Apple silicon MacBook. We exclude implied warranties only where the law allows us to do so. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, guarantee or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits or business interruption arising from MacFold. Our total liability relating to the software will not exceed the amount you paid for MacFold. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases or to reflect changes to the software or law. The date at the top identifies the current version. Changes do not reduce rights already granted for a completed purchase where applicable law prevents that result.
